Organize a collection
Two things are needed to start a collection -
1. Some places to Collect and
2. Storage
STORAGE
Storage should be donated whenever possible and can come as a barn, shed, garage. Or a tarp under the apple tree…
This should be available for the duration of your collection project and the timing for good transport and shipping. Average time for the need of this storage is 6 to 10 months. Should be relatively accessible for the delivery of collected mobility devices (md’s) from collection points. Keep in mind that the collected contents may later be transferred to a larger vehicle than those involved in the collection process.
COLLECTION
There are many great places to collect crutches and mobility devices.
- Any place people gather on a regular basis,
- Spa, Yoga studio, Pilates location.
- Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, Optimist Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Awana, etc.
- Church, Clubs, Gym’s locally owned grocery stores.
- Cleaners, Theatres, Bowling Alleys. Etc.
- Well Publicized event. This can range from “homecoming” to “The State Fair!”

You will need to set up a 55 gallon drum or garbage can to collect. Contact us and we will give you advice on how to organize your collection. We can also make arrangements for what to do after you have crutches ready for shipping.
